Our Story

Hi there—I'm so glad you're here!
My name is Natali without the “e” and Fully Bookd is my latest passion project.

Fully Bookd was born out of fear, hope, and resilience. I was trapped in an abusive marriage with no clear way out but in the midst of that darkness, I made a bold decision: to open a bookstore. I hoped it would not only help sustain me financially, but also serve as a stepping stone while I worked toward becoming a certified firefighter.

Fast forward a year and some change—I'm now free from my abuser, living my dream as a full-time firefighter, and finally ready to reunite with my first love: books.

I learned to read before I could walk, and ever since, reading has been one of my favorite pastimes. I’ll read just about anything, but I especially love dystopian fiction or books that make me question everything I thought I knew and give me a sense of existential dread.

Some of my fondest memories are of visiting bookstores with my parents—spending hours browsing shelves, inhaling the scent of coffee and pages, and walking out with a book I’d devour that very night. As I got older and moved away from home, bookstores became a sanctuary. No matter where I was in life, I could always find comfort in being surrounded by stories.

After every triumph—or every tough day—you’ll still find me wandering the aisles, waiting for the right book to find me, offer some wisdom, or simply provide a bit of escape.

Fully Bookd is the bookstore I dreamed about in my darkest moments. It’s what kept me going when everything else felt impossible. My hope is that it can now be a haven for you, too—a place to explore your love for all things books, to connect with stories, and to feel safe and inspired.

Thanks for being part of this journey. Let’s bring this bookstore to life—one page at a time.

                                         Happy reading,
                                                Nat
